BUILT FOR WELL ENGINEERS
BY WELL ENGINEERS
StrinGnosis is a new casing and tubing analysis program that reflects the logic and information flow of actual well design, streamlining the whole design process. Interpretation of the analytical results provides complete knowledge of each casing, liner or tubing string; and the well as a whole.
StrinGnosis provides the well design community, for a first time, a means to implement limit state design according to the ISO TR 10400 ductile burst, tension burst and brittle burst limit states for OCTG.
StrinGnosis streamlines the complex, iterative tubular design process through its easy to comprehend modular architecture. The resulting look and feel is very natural to an engineer; who can become familiar with it very quickly. Most importantly, the software is both linear and logical.
StrinGnosis is not meant solely for the designer of complex wells. The user interface and functionalities are intuitive, with customizable standard load packages, so that even standard well designs are easy and quick.
Advanced Annulus Pressure Buildup Calculations
Thermal Simulation for Production and Injection Operations
Calculate a Probability of Failure

A GLANCE AT OTHER FEATURES
Pay only for the features you are going to use. StrinGnosis is available in both a standard and advanced version.
Easy to use interface with intuitive controls and capabilities. a contemporary "look and fee".
Deterministic LSD for tension-burst and brittle burst. Collapse limit state in RBD. Both failure and exceedance probabilities estimated.
Fifteen of the most commonly used standard casing and tubing design load templates.
API rating and tri-axial VME checks.
Quickly produce user-specified design summary reports
Quick calculations with the customizable and "always on" well schematic window
Complete custom definition of loads. Allows use of standard loads templates as starting point.
Unique summary charts and tables; coupled with the ability to explore the results of all loads in detail.
Version 2.7 Release Notes
See our recent changes
The Thermal Simulator tab has been overhauled and migrated to WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) to improve user experience.
A new Blade Standard has been included in Version 2.7. Bumping Cement Plug can now be modeled without creating custom load
Handling of connections has been greatly improved in the following areas: precision, accuracy and storage.
Reliability Based Design (RBD) now shows safety factor data for all depths on loads with failing design factors.
Stress loads have improved flexibility in temperature handling, including support for custom temperature profiles.
Custom load editing has been entirely overhauled, adding many new features, including much improved consistency and error handling.
More than 100,000 Tenaris connections have been added to the already huge connection database.
The user experience has been improved. Reporting and charting is now consistent throughout all modules.
StrinGnosis is the most advanced well design program available on the market today. It is easy to use and has the contemporary “look and feel” that should be expected in any modern software.
Ease of use is central to the StrinGnosis philosophy. The user works in a linear fashion; defining The Well followed by proposing a Casing Design. Appropriate loads are then built in the Stress Calculator before being summarized and analyzed in the Stress Results. If Thermal Analysis is required, this can be carried out and the results from this carried over into APB Analysis. StrinGnosis can automatically calculate Allowable APB and provide the user with easy to understand results.
The “always-on” well schematic available through the included SideKick tool gives a visually pleasing, detailed picture of the well, concurrently updated throughout the analysis and design process.
StrinGnosis allows users to create not only standard drilling and production loads using simple templates, but also a flexible way to create any customized load to analyze non-standard loads, using the pre-built templates as a starting point.
Further details of the software structure can be found here.
